Mindfulness is everywhere now but its popularity sprouted from the ascendance of DBT. Recognizing that stress is responsible for much of emotional dysregulation and feelings of distress, mindfulness is a main DBT component. Mindfulness involves people focusing on their current sensory information rather than worrying about past and future behavior. Thoughts are allowed to pass without assigning harmful judgments. This DBT worksheet illustrates basic instructions for mindfulness that clients can adapt to many aspects of their life.
